Wirral Council (UK) announces plans to reduce single-use plastics within two years
The English town of Wirral in Merseyside has launched a plan to phase out single-use plastics. The council plans to be completely free of single-use plastics within two years. Under this plan, the council will work with local businesses, such as supermarkets, and plan water-refilling provisions to reduce specific single-use plastic items like bottles.
