Update: BBC unveils its strategy to become free of single-use plastics by 2020
The BBC has published its Greener Broadcasting strategy, which details a comprehensive plan to achieve its sustainability goals, ranging from reducing single-use plastic waste to reducing carbon emissions. The BBC aims to reach zero-waste-to-landfill status by 2022. Back in February 2018, the BBC announced its plans to remove single-use plastics from its operations by 2020, and since then they have become 90% single-use plastic-free on one of its flagship shows, Strictly Come Dancing.
