Turkey to pass legislation promoting zero-waste policies in 2019
The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in Turkey has drafted legislation that will make zero-waste policy a mandatory factor for various organisations across the country. Under the drafted bill, every business or public institution will be required to receive a zero-waste certificate. The scheme will evaluate the various organisations for compliance and set up processes to achieve various waste management targets. If approved by the Turkish parliament, the laws will come into effect in 2019.
