Thornton Budgens supermarket launches UK’s first plastic-free supermarket zones
Thornton Budgens supermarket, located in Belize Park, London, has converted more than 1,700 product lines to be plastic packaging-free. The move comes after British Prime Minister Theresa May’s call in early 2018 to make plastic-free aisles in supermarkets. The store has further promised to become ‘virtually plastic-free’ within three years.
