St. Petersburg, Florida to get its first zero-waste store 'Kenwood's Organic Produce' in November 2018

Kenwood's Organic Produce, the zero-waste store founded by entrepreneurs Marcile Powers and Keevy McAlavy is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to fund their project, which is close to achieving its funding goal. The founders announced that the store is set to premiere in a soft-opening at 3325 Fifth Ave. N. on 17 November 2018. The store aims to sell products in returnable containers and provide a discount upon returning them. The store also aims to cut packaging waste by selling its own line of products such as salsas, sauces, jams and jellies, and veggie chips.
