Porthleven Food Festival goes anti-plastic in 2018 with mandatory Green Charter

The Porthleven Food Festival taking place in Cornwall (UK) from April 20 to April 22, 2018, will minimize single-use plastic by introducing a mandatory Green Charter to festival suppliers and stall holders.
The charter requires that all cups, cutlery, and straws be compostable or reusable; that items like sugar, salt, pepper, and sauces not be served in single sachets and that no single-use plastic bags are present on-site.
The Green Charter is central to the food festival’s 2018 pledge to reduce plastic consumption at the festival while encouraging others to follow their lead.
