New Zealand launches its own ‘Refill’ water-refilling campaign

Entrepreneurs Owain John and Jill Ford have adopted the successful UK-based anti-single-use bottle campaign, Refill, in New Zealand. The Refill initiative in New Zealand works in the same manner as the original UK initiative where the campaign gets businesses, such as cafés, to act as water-refilling stations by singing up to a national app and displaying a sticker at the front of their premises. The initiative has kicked off their first campaign in Wellington and has thus far recruited more than 40 Wellington businesses.
