Air India bans single-use plastics on flights

Air India, the country’s national airline, will now be banning single-use plastic in their flights starting October 2, 2019. 

The move will include switching from plastic packaged banana chips and sandwiches to butter paper pouches. Cake slices will also be replaced by muffins and birch wood cutlery is to be introduced.
