UK supermarket chain Waitrose extends its plastic-free trail
British supermarket chain Waitrose has expanded its plastic-free initiative. The store had an original trail end date of 18 August but has extended this since customer response has been successful in their Oxford location. Now, the trail will be extended to their Cheltenham, Abingdon, and Wallingford stores.
“Through working with our customers and suppliers, we will continue to learn and develop ideas which have the potential to be rolled out more widely,” says Tor Harris of Waitrose and Partners.
