Hamburg-based insulated lunchbox manufacturer Numee is gaining traction on Kickstarter. The project has already garnered 3,605 backers and has EUR 200,431 pledged of a EUR 12,000 goal.

The start-up has come up with a design for a lunchbox that keeps food warm or cold. It uses detachable pads, that are placed underneath the containers, and are infused with a gel that can maintain the temperature of the contents of the lunchbox. If the pads are placed in the freezer for 6 hours, they can keep the food cool throughout the workday. If the pads are heated in the microwave for 90 seconds, they keep the food freshly warm.

The lunchbox is made with BPA-free and LFGB certified plastic materials, are dishwasher friendly, and microwave approved. They are on pre-order sale for EUR 29 and is promoted by Jellop, an ad tech company behind 750+ successful Kickstarter projects. The campaign is also funded by SPRINT Crowdfunder’s Fund.
