In October of 2018, Australian fast-fashion retailer Cotton On introduced a campaign called 'The Good' to remove plastic bags from all its stores. The campaign, which started in New Zealand, hoped to reach its target by June 2019.

In April 2019, the company was successful in achieving its target and removed 38 million plastic bags from its stores around the world.

Brands under Cotton On, such as Cotton on Body, Typo and Rubi have also begun participating in 'The Good' campaign. All the brands have also collectively decided to produce their clothes with 100 per cent sustainable cotton by 2021.
