Catering company Bartlett Mitchell has launched Huskup, an eco-friendly reusable coffee cup. Made from rice husks, the cups are biodegradable and will return to the soil within 90 days in an industrial composting plant. Huskup is also microwave and dishwasher-safe.

The Huskup was launched to support the community that produces Perkee- the company’s premium coffee. All the profits from the sales will go towards building a biscuit factory in Nicaragua, which will give the women who rake the coffee beans during harvest the opportunity for a year-round income, as opposed to their seasonal employment.
