Furniture brand Kartell has teamed up with bioplastic manufacturer Bio-on to make a ‘fully sustainable’ version of its Componibili storage unit.

The sustainable storage unit is made from agricultural waste, which was named CL after Kartell president Claudio Luti. CL was created through the process of natural fermentation of farm waste by bacteria to produce linear polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA). The material is 100 per cent biodegradable on land and sea.
