Two Taiwanese students have created straw-less reusable bubble tea cups
Students Mickey Wu and Fang Shih have created reusable cups for bubble tea, eliminating the need for straws. The idea was born from Taiwan’s bubble tea drinking culture.
The ‘Float’ cup has a small container that holds the pearls or other toppings while the drink is in the main cup. This way, the toppings do not sink to the bottom of the cup but float instead.
The students have been working on the 'Float' cup for over a year with Spring Pool Glass, an environmentally-friendly glass service company, which provides the recycled glass for the cups.
