UK retailer Tesco is removing plastic-wrapped fruits and vegetables at two of its stores in Watford and Swindon in a bid to reduce single-use plastic packaging. The trial will run for all of April 2019. The development comes after Tesco announced in 2018 that it would ban hard-to-recycle plastic packaging by 2019 and make all packaging fully recyclable by 2025.
