Thai supermarket Rimping uses banana leaves instead of single-use plastic packaging

Rimping, a grocery store chain in Chiang Mai, Thailand, has started using discarded banana leaves and biodegradable bamboo twist ties instead of plastic wrap to secure loose fruits and vegetables. In addition, Rimping offers other sustainable packaging options, such as lending customers reusable cloth bags for a small deposit and offering biodegradable bio-plastic carrier bags and reused cardboard boxes to pack groceries.
