Guam University provides reusable bags & straws to its students to foster sustainable habits

The University of Guam’s Sea Grant Program has kicked off an initiative to help its students make the transition from single-use plastic to reusable products. This initiative is an effort to support the state-wide partial ban on single-use plastic bags that will come into effect in 2021. As part of the initiative, the Sea Grant Program provided 500 students with reusable steel straws and distributed reusable bags in local supermarkets.
