Singaporean 'Seastainable' sells 3,500 metal straws

Singaporean start-up Seastainable, which sells metal straws, was founded by Samantha Thian to fight plastic waste, one metal straw at a time. The company wants its straws to serve two purposes – reducing people's plastic intake, and financially supporting marine conservation. Hence, for every Seastainable straw sold, the company contributes 50% of the profits to marine conservation in the Philippines. More than 3,500 metal straws have been sold so far. More at Vulcan Post.
