US$ 520,000 for water bottle filling stations in 27 Oakland County school districts

This summer, the first schools around Oakland County will be receiving water bottle filling stations courtesy of Oakland County. The county board of commissioner's allocated US$ 520,000 for the purchase of 680(!) stations.

Oakland County wants to provide better access to drinking water for elementary students while at the same time decreasing the amount of plastic water bottle waste. Schools, universities, hospitals, offices: what better places to install water bottle refill stations ASAP?
