City of Coimbatore to install 40 purified water kiosks
The city of Coimbatore (India) is about to install 40 purified water kiosks for those in transit, each with its own reverse osmosis plant. The kiosks will be placed at major bus stands, parks and crowded junctions, and a water bottle refill will be charged at just Rs 5 (about 6 euro cents) whereas the charge for a packaged water bottle hovers around Rs 20. Bringo's take: serious savings for those in transit and less waste: what's not to like. More at The Times of India.
