BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing bans bottled water
The BBC (UK) has banned single-use bottled water from their popular show, Strictly Come Dancing. The ban comes into effect after BBC announced their commitment to getting rid of damaging single-use plastics, which in turn is a response to the two BBC documentaries, Drowning in Plastic and Sir David Attenborough’s The Blue Planet II, which highlighted the scale of sea pollution. This is only one of the efforts towards ridding single-use plastics from the BBC, among other initiatives such as sourcing biodegradable glitter, confetti etc. currently underway.
