Sodexo announce plans to eliminate single-use plastics
Sodexo, the multinational food services and facilities management company, announced its multi-tiered plan to phase out various single-use plastics from its various operations. The plans at this stage focus on eliminating single-use plastic bags and stirrers by 2019 and polystyrene foam containers by 2025. The company estimates that this shift in policy will remove over 245 million pieces of single-use plastics from the company’s various value streams.
