Town of Wembley in London, running a pilot to become plastic-free

The area surrounding the Wembley Stadium in the London borough of Brent is running a pilot to make the area free of single-use plastics. The campaign organised by Wembley Traders Association and In Your Face Advertising will officially launch on the 15th of November 2018. The campaign aims to reduce an estimated 100,000 carrier bags given out weekly and 60,000 disposable cups used at each Wembley Stadium event. The campaign will partner with local companies to distribute reusable cups and bags during the course of the pilot.
