Leeds gets a zero-waste shop

Entrepreneurs Aimée McAlpine and Ian Thursfield opened The Jar Tree, a zero-waste shop in the Kirkgate Market in Leeds. The store operates under a "weigh-and-pay" system that allows customers to bring their own containers to buy products at the store. The store sells a wide range of day-to-day groceries ranging from fruits and vegetables to grains and toiletries.
