US town of Pembroke bans single-use plastic bags

The Massachusettes town of Pembroke passed a law that bans all single-use plastic bags from the town. Retail shops have been provided with a transitional period of 6 months, from the day when the law came to be on the 23rd of October 2018, to use up their existing bags and sort to alternatives by the end of the period in mid-2019.
