DHL UK pledges to set up a single-use plastic ban by 2019

As part of the Mission Possible Initiative driven by the sustainability website edie and Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in the UK, DHL Global Forwarding of UK has pledged to implement a ban on all single-use plastic items by 1st January 2019. The Environment Manager of the company Jonathan Randles announced that items such as plastic cups, cutlery and straws would be replaced with glassware, crockery and stainless steel in all of DHL’s UK sites.
