Dutch Railway NS teams up with Artist Marian Dessing and F&B companies to reduce single-use plastic usage at railway stations
A pop-up store with upcycled railway material went live yesterday in Utrecht Central, the busiest railway Station in the Netherlands. The pop-up store’s merchandise is designed by artist and designer Marian Dessing, who is joined by four F&B outlets that operate in Dutch railways who will now provide a 0.25 EUR discount for any customer bringing their own reusable mug or bottle to order hot beverages. Four companies, Julia, Stationsuiskamer, Kiosk & Albert Heijn will participate in the discount initiative. The popup store is also selling dishwasher-ready reusable bottles. The store will wrap-up on the 15th of October 2019 and move to Rotterdam Train Station thereafter.
