Dutch supermarket chain ‘Plus’ to phase out single-use plastics by summer 2019

Plus, the local supermarket chain and online retailer in the Netherlands, is aiming to become free of single-use plastics by the summer of 2019. The retailer announced that it has started to roll out reusable alternatives to single-use cups, containers, bowls, cutlery, etc., championing changes in the Dutch market in line with the European Union’s plans to phase out many single-use plastic items by 2021.
