UK schools are provided with targets to eliminate single-use plastics by 2022

The UK education secretary,Damian Hinds, has encouraged schools to set their own targets and roadmaps to eliminate single-use plastics by 2022. The secretary mentioned that he is urging the schools to transition to single-use plastics alternatives and eliminate damaging material such as Tetra Paks and glitter, commonly used in schools. Furthermore, as part of the plan, schools will also be advising parents not to wrap their children’s food in cling film or plastic bags.
